The opportunity:
Get Recruited are recruiting on behalf of a wellâestablished distributor who are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team. The role will primarily be focused on maintaining existing customer relationships, working on repeat business from existing accounts. Based primarily from the company's northern site, the role will cover a large territory across the eastern side of the UK. You will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships while placing a strong emphasis on generating new business, primarily from sales enquiries produced through internal marketing activity. This would be a great opportunity for someone from a Business Development, Sales, Account Manager, Field Sales or similar role.
The role:
- Manage and develop relationships with both existing and new customers.
- Plan and organise sales activity across your allocated territory.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the customer base.
- Produce accurate sales forecasts and work towards agreed targets.
- Attend relevant meetings, training sessions, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Take ownership of personal performance targets and contribute to overall business profitability.
The person:
- Previous experience in a fieldâbased sales role would be advantageous.
- Must have B2B sales experience, ideally within machinery, manufacturing, industrial, packaging distribution or similar industries.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Youâll need to be selfâmotivated, enthusiastic, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a full UK driving licence.
- Open to a background in Engineering looking to start a sales career.
- Must be based within a commutable distance to Nelson.
