We are proud to be partnering with a successful multi-site Accountancy Practice that operates throughout Yorkshire and has a solid reputation for mentoring aspiring Accountants. As a Trainee Accountant, you will be working closely with the Accounts Manager responsible for a portfolio of clients, gaining exposure to both the Accounting and Audit sides of the process. The company will fund your studies until you become fully qualified. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior members of the team who will mentor you and provide the support you need to grow with the firm.

Trainee Accountant Role:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
  • Involvement in the Audit process for clients, working closely with the audit partner to enhance your understanding, knowledge, and experience.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Support with bookkeeping as required.
  • Calculating corporate tax and personal tax liabilities.

The Person:

  • Current experience in a Trainee Accountant (or similar) is ideal, but we are open to considering Graduates (with relevant qualifications) or individuals serious about a long-term career in Accountancy.
  • A highly driven individual with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Committed to a long-term career in Accountancy and willing to undertake formal qualifications.
  • Solid numerical skills are essential.
  • Highly diligent and hardworking individual.
