We are hiring for one of our prime clients seeking a passionate Nursery Room Leader to lead a team in delivering high-quality early years care and education. This role focuses on supporting the development of young children by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while guiding a team of practitioners to maintain excellent childcare standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support practitioners in delivering stimulating, appropriate learning experiences
- Create a nurturing and safe environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of children
- Implement and maintain an effective key person approach to help children build secure attachments
- Maintain high-quality learning journals and accurate records using nursery management systems
- Build strong relationships with parents and keep them informed about their child’s progress
- Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and safeguarding policies
- Lead by example with professionalism, consistency, and teamwork within the nursery
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification – Essential
- Experience working with babies or children
- Strong understanding of child development and early years learning
- Interest in outdoor learning and nature-based activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
