We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to apply technical expertise toward the advancement of AI-driven environmental solutions. In this remote role, you will leverage your experience in water resources, air quality, soil remediation, and regulatory compliance to help train and refine advanced AI models. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about sustainability, environmental modeling, and innovative digital technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design or oversee systems, processes, and infrastructure to manage, mitigate, or remediate environmental impacts affecting water, air, and soil.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for land use and development projects.
- Translate real-world environmental engineering scenarios into structured inputs for AI model training.
- Review and validate AI-generated outputs for technical accuracy, regulatory alignment, and scientific reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including scientists, planners, legal advisors, and technical specialists.
- Advise on environmental compliance strategies, remediation practices, and sustainability initiatives.
- Utilize advanced modeling, GIS, and CAD tools to analyze, visualize, and document environmental data.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and clearly communicate findings in written and verbal formats.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in environmental engineering, water resources, remediation, or environmental compliance.
- Proficiency with modeling and analytical tools such as: DHI MIKE SHE, RockWare, MODFLOW, Insightful S-PLUS, MATLAB.
- Experience with greenhouse gas management, hazardous materials systems (HMS), MSDS software, and regulatory compliance platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of GIS systems including ESRI ArcGIS and ArcView.
- Expertise in CAD and drafting software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, and CADD platforms.
- Ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or environmental engineering certification.
- Experience contributing to AI model training, validation, or environmental data annotation projects.
- Familiarity with emerging digital sustainability tools and environmental monitoring technologies.
- Advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
