About the Role

The Headteacher and Local Governing Body of Pinehurst Primary School wish to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to join our committed team.

The role will require the individual to provide flexible support over time across the school in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

For this role experience of working with pupils in Key Stage 2, including those with SEND needs is desirable. Experience of teaching phonics through the Read Write Inc programme and Maths through ‘Maths No problem’ would also be desirable. This role would be initially based in UKS2 and Year 5 although flexible support is required across the school in the future.

  • Assess children’s understanding of maths concepts
  • Discuss with children their understanding of learning objectivesSuggest ways of developing learning
  • Encourage good social skills
  • Liaise with the SENCO and outside agencies
  • Take an active involvement in planning
