Get Laid Beds is a British furniture brand specialising in high-quality, made-to-order solid wood beds.
Every bed is crafted by our team in our Leicestershire workshop, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design, customisation and thoughtful customer service.
We sell across the UK and internationally, with an expanding product range that includes bed frames, mattresses, bedding and bedroom accessories.
As the business continues to grow, we want to build a more distinctive and recognisable brand, strengthen our community and create content that brings our products, people and craftsmanship to life.
The Role
We are looking for a creative, commercially minded Social Media Executive & Content Creator to take ownership of our organic social media presence and lead the creation of engaging, high-quality content across our key channels.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable planning a social strategy, filming in our workshop, styling a bedroom, editing a Reel and reviewing performance data.
You will be responsible for developing a consistent and distinctive social presence that reflects the quality of our products and supports wider business objectives.
Your content will help increase brand awareness, build trust, inspire customers, strengthen our community and ultimately contribute to traffic and revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will understand how to balance premium brand storytelling with entertaining, relatable and platform-native content.
You will be confident generating ideas, appearing behind or in front of the camera when required and turning everyday moments across the business into engaging stories.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Strategy and Management
- Develop and manage the organic social media strategy across Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Pinterest and other relevant channels.
- Create and maintain a clear social media calendar aligned with seasonal campaigns, promotions and wider marketing activity.
- Establish a consistent approach to content across each platform while adapting ideas to suit different audiences and formats.
- Ensure all social content reflects our developing brand identity, tone of voice and premium market positioning.
- Identify opportunities to grow reach, engagement, followers, website traffic and brand consideration.
- Stay informed about emerging platform features, content formats and social media trends, applying them in a way that feels relevant to the brand.
- Work proactively rather than relying solely on campaign briefs, continually identifying new content opportunities across the business.
- Content Creation
- Plan, film, photograph and edit high-quality social-first content.
- Create Reels, Tik Toks, Stories, carousels, static posts, behind-the-scenes content and short-form video.
- Regularly capture content in our workshop, office, showroom and other relevant locations.
- Bring our manufacturing process and craftsmanship to life through engaging, accessible storytelling.
- Create product-led content that communicates quality, design, materials, customisation options and customer benefits.
- Develop lifestyle and interior-focused content that helps customers imagine our products within their own homes.
- Style beds, bedrooms and products for content shoots, working with internal teams and external creatives where required.
- Repurpose content effectively across multiple channels and formats to maximise its value.
- Maintain an organised library of social media assets, raw footage, photography and completed content.
- Brand Storytelling
- Communicate the quality, craftsmanship and care behind every Get Laid Beds product.
- Tell stories about our people, workshop, materials, manufacturing techniques and made-to-order process.
- Translate product features into engaging customer-focused benefits rather than relying on purely technical messaging.
- Support storytelling around sustainability, responsibly sourced materials, tree-planting partnerships and waste reduction.
- Develop content around sleep, wellness, bedroom design and the importance of creating a better sleep environment.
- Ensure the brand feels knowledgeable and premium while remaining warm, human and approachable.
- Community Management
- Actively manage and grow our social media community.
- Respond to comments, messages, mentions and customer questions in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
- Encourage meaningful conversation rather than simply publishing content.
- Identify opportunities to engage with relevant creators, brands, customers and interior communities.
- Support community-building activity such as customer features, competitions, referral initiatives, Q&As and interactive Stories.
- Work with the Customer Service team to ensure queries and complaints are handled appropriately.
- Monitor customer feedback and share useful insights with the wider marketing and product teams.
- User-Generated Content and Customer Stories
- Develop a consistent approach to sourcing, organising and sharing customer-generated content.
- Encourage customers to share photographs and videos of their beds and bedrooms.
- Identify strong customer stories, transformations, reviews and testimonials that can be developed into content.
- Secure the appropriate permissions before republishing customer content.
- Build recurring content formats such as customer home features, bedroom transformations etc.
- Help create a stronger sense of community by celebrating real homes and showing the variety of ways customers style our products.
- Influencer and Creator Partnerships
- Support the identification and outreach of relevant influencers, creators and brand partners.
- Help manage gifted and paid creator collaborations from initial contact through to content delivery.
- Develop clear, inspiring briefs that allow creators to produce content that feels natural while meeting business objectives.
- Track agreed deliverables and ensure content is supplied on time and to an appropriate standard.
- Build long-term relationships with creators who genuinely align with the brand.
- Identify opportunities to reuse strong creator content across organic social, paid advertising, email and the website.
- Monitor the results of collaborations and recommend improvements to the programme.
- Campaigns, Launches and Promotions
- Translate wider marketing campaigns into engaging social-first ideas and content.
- Support new product launches, collaborations, seasonal activity and promotional campaigns.
- Develop launch concepts that feel consistent across social media while remaining native to each platform.
- Balance promotional messaging with brand-building, educational and inspirational content.
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing, Designer, Email Marketing Co Ordinator and Performance Marketing Manager to create cohesive campaigns.

- React quickly to trading priorities while protecting the quality and consistency of the brand.
- Reporting and Performance
- Monitor and report on social media performance using platform insights and relevant analytics tools.
- Track measures including reach, engagement, follower growth, video completion rates, website traffic, assisted revenue and content output.
- Use performance data to understand which formats, themes and messages resonate most strongly.
- Regularly test new content styles, hooks, posting times and creative approaches.
- Provide clear monthly insights and recommendations rather than reporting figures without context.
- Set appropriate benchmarks and demonstrate how social media activity is contributing to wider brand and commercial objectives.
- Monitor competitor and industry activity to identify opportunities and areas where Get Laid Beds can differentiate itself.
About You
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience managing social media channels for a brand, agency or commercially focused organisation.
- Has strong hands on experience creating short-form video and social first content.

- Can confidently film and edit content using a smartphone and relevant editing software.
- Understands how to create strong hooks, structure engaging videos and hold attention.
