Shakespeare Awards offers participants the chance to work one‑to‑one with a RADA tutor to present a speech, sonnet or scene from Shakespeare and receive personalized feedback to develop their acting skills.

Assessment Process

  • You will connect with a RADA tutor in a one‑to‑one online session.
  • You will perform a speech from section one.
  • Next, you will perform a speech from section two.
  • After delivering the first two speeches, you will receive live suggestions to explore the text.
  • You will then deliver the speech from section two again.

For the assessment to be valid, you must act from memory without reading a script.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Designed for single candidates aged 12 and above; ideal for ages 12‑14.
  • Must be able to perform a speech from memory.
  • Must not read a script during the assessment.

Outcome & Next Steps

To earn the Messenger Award, you must achieve 25 marks out of 50. After the assessment you will receive your results and any feedback by post within one month. Upon completion of the Messenger Award, the next level is the Bronze Award.
