Shakespeare Awards offers participants the chance to work one‐to‐one with a RADA tutor to present a speech, sonnet or scene from Shakespeare and receive personalized feedback to develop their acting skills.
Assessment Process
- You will connect with a RADA tutor in a one‐to‐one online session.
- You will perform a speech from section one.
- Next, you will perform a speech from section two.
- After delivering the first two speeches, you will receive live suggestions to explore the text.
- You will then deliver the speech from section two again.
- For the assessment to be valid, you must act from memory without reading a script.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Designed for single candidates aged 12 and above; ideal for ages 12‐14.
- Must be able to perform a speech from memory.
- Must not read a script during the assessment.
Outcome & Next Steps
- To earn the Messenger Award, you must achieve 25 marks out of 50.
- After the assessment you will receive your results and any feedback by post within one month.
- Upon completion of the Messenger Award, the next level is the Bronze Award.
