The predicted salary is between 26236 - 26236 £ per year.

Full-time (37 hours/week) - part-time hours considered. We are continuing to develop and grow our services and are looking for committed and flexible individuals with initiative and a can-do attitude to join our Support Service.

Salary: £26,236 per year (pro rata for part-time)

Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time), including some evenings and weekends. Part-time hours will be considered.

Office base: Sandwell Deaf Community Association, West Bromwich, West Midlands

Purpose of the role: To provide support in the home and local community, enabling the individual to learn and make decisions about their life and future choices.

Essential:

  • Experience and understanding of Deaf people with additional and complex needs.
  • Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language (BSL), or equivalent (including native/near-native BSL skills).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Willingness to undertake further study to develop BSL skills and complete any job-specific training.
  • Responsibility for safeguarding adults at risk.
  • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld at all times, in line with organisational and local safeguarding procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience working safely and effectively with adults at risk.

Desirable:

  • Certificate in Social Care NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
