Your Core Mission

To grow and steward a major donor portfolio, meet income targets, and build a strong pipeline for long-term sustainability, including oversight of WONDER’s legacy giving strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Major Giving & Stewardship
  • Portfolio Management: Manage and grow the Major Donor programme, delivering tailored strategies, personalised stewardship, and clear impact reporting.
  • Prospect Research: Identify, approach, and cultivate new HNWIs and DAFs, developing compelling proposals for cultivation and solicitation.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records and report on KPIs to senior staff.
  • The Ask: Confidently solicit five- and six-figure gifts through research, networking, and strong stewardship, aligning donor interests with WONDER’s priorities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Fundraising, Programmes, and Communications teams to support donor engagement and wider campaigns.
  • Legacy Giving

  • Strategy & Acquisition: Design and execute a light-touch, high-impact plan to identify and cultivate “Legacy Pledgers,” turning lifelong supporters into eternal champions.
  • Internal Advocacy: Act as the internal champion for legacies, coaching the Board of Trustees, corporate partners, and the wider team.
  • Integrated Messaging: Partner with the Communications Manager to ensure the “gift in your Will” message is woven naturally and sensitively into the WONDER narrative.

Who You Are

  • An experienced relationship manager with a track record in major gifts or a transferable role working with HNWIs.
  • A strong communicator, able to translate impact data into compelling cases for support.
  • Skilled at planning and delivering long-term donor cultivation.
  • Empathetic, professional, and confident discussing giving and future planning.
  • An excellent writer and communicator, with native-level or equivalent English.
  • Efficient & Outcome-Focused: As a part-time lead, you are a master of prioritisation, capable of driving high-value results within a 2.5-day week.

Why WONDER?
