About the role
As part of an exciting expansion of our Single Point of Access team, we are looking for compassionate and skilled individuals to become the first friendly voice people hear when they reach out for support.
As a Client Support & Referral Practitioner, you will be the first point of contact for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults accessing a wide range of ONSIDE services. You’ll listen, gather information, assess needs, identify risk and provide advice and guidance to help people access the right support at the right time.
Every day brings something different. You may support a parent looking for help for their child, an adult seeking advocacy, a family navigating challenges, or an individual looking to access our neurodiversity services. Through effective triage, assessment and signposting, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring people receive the support that best meets their needs.
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have existing knowledge, experience, or a strong understanding of neurodivergence and the needs of neurodivergent children, young people, adults, and their families. We believe lived experience strengthens our services and helps us to deliver more inclusive, person‑centred support.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who is warm, empathetic and able to build rapport quickly while handling sensitive information with care. The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and be confident using Microsoft Office and other ICT systems to accurately record information, process referrals and maintain records within ONSIDE’s case management system.
We are looking for someone who is adaptable and creative in their approach to supporting people with neurodivergence, mental ill health, disabilities or other complex needs, ensuring that each individual receives the support that is right for them. Experience supporting vulnerable children, young people, families or adults would be beneficial.
We will provide comprehensive, tailored training to help you feel confident listening, triaging, recording information, assessing need, and connecting people with services that can make a real difference to their lives.
If you’re passionate, people‑centred and want a role you can truly be proud of, we’d love to hear from you!
ONSIDE celebrates diversity and inclusion. If you’re excited by the role but don’t meet every requirement, please still apply.
