Our children require very special teachers who are able to manage some complex and challenging behaviours. Our young people require much support, the right sort of communication, consistency and flexibility in equal measure, and a non‑judgemental approach. In Compass Schools, we believe all teachers are, primarily teachers of children, before being teachers of subjects. Central to this role is knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships and motivating students. We require a teacher who is versatile and can teach across the curriculum; this role will suit a primary or secondary trained teacher. Because we are part of a much larger organisation – Compass has 22 schools nationwide – there are many opportunities for career progression.

Person Specification

  • Must have UK QTS
  • Experienced SEN Teachers only, at least 2 years
  • Excellent subject knowledge including SEN
  • You will need to have a proven track record of delivering high quality lessons
  • Passionate, positive & team player required
  • Confident & strong classroom management skills
