Warley Park Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Assistant Greenkeeper to join the course team at one of Essex's most established golf venues. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the golf and sports turf industry while working as part of a forward-thinking organisation with long-term investment plans and a strong focus on course standards. You will work closely with the Course Manager and wider team to help deliver excellent playing conditions year-round across all areas of the golf course.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily golf course setup and presentation
- Mowing and maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, surrounds, and rough
- Bunker preparation and course detailing
- Operation of modern golf course machinery
- Assisting with irrigation, aeration, spraying, and renovation work
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety
- Supporting the team in delivering excellent year-round playing conditions
The Ideal Candidate
- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Works well within a team environment
- Has a genuine interest in golf course maintenance
- Holds relevant greenkeeping qualifications (preferred but not essential)
- Has experience operating turf machinery (preferred)
- Is reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
