Get Golfing CIO is seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team at one of our twelve golf facilities. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen, ensuring it meets all health and safety standards. You will work alongside a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff, gaining valuable experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry. Get Golfing is a charity that supports struggling English golf facilities, and by joining our team, you will be contributing to this worthy cause while growing your career.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all kitchen equipment and utensils are washed, dried, and put away properly.
  • Maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Helping with the preparation and plating of dishes.
  • Assisting with stock control and ensuring all deliveries are stored correctly.
  • Reporting all maintenance issues to the kitchen manager.
  • Monitoring food waste and ensuring it is disposed of safely and correctly.
  • Assisting the chefs with basic food preparation tasks.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and an ability to work well in a team.
  • Willingness to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Good timekeeping and organizational skills.
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
