Get Golfing CIO, a charity with a mission to make golf more accessible for all, is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at North Downs Golf Club. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a thriving and dynamic organisation which manages and operates 13 sites with 7,000 members and over 160,000 visitors each year. The successful candidate will be part of a £20m revenue company of 400 people which reinvests profits from its operations into its venues, courses, the development of its people, and importantly, community-oriented charitable initiatives local to its sites.

The Role

We take great pride in the food we serve, from our vibrant events to our exceptional Clubhouse offerings. As a Chef, you’ll be a key part of our kitchen team, bringing our dishes to life with creativity and skill. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape our menu, setting us apart in the Golf and Leisure market by delivering high-quality food that keeps our customers coming back time and time again. This is a full-time position at £28-30k per year dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to the established menu and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the Regional Chef Manager and culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to menu planning and the development of new dishes.
  • Support and train other kitchen staff as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure all dishes are served in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef or similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Allergen and intolerance knowledge.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
