As an Assistant Greenkeeper you will support the maintenance, preparation, and presentation of high-quality playing surfaces and surrounding grounds. The role involves day-to-day turf care, use of specialist machinery, and helping ensure the course/facility is safe, attractive, and playable to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and roughs
- Carry out mowing, raking, edging, divoting, and general turf care tasks
- Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery and hand tools safely
- Assist with irrigation, drainage, and turf renovation works (aeration, seeding, topdressing)
- Help prepare the course/grounds for competitions and events
- Monitor turf health and report any issues such as disease, pests, or damage
- Follow health & safety procedures and safe working practices at all times
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives on site
- Undertake general groundskeeping and maintenance duties as required
