Working Hours: This role is full time (38 hours per week) with potential for overtime, and 29 days holiday per year, inclusive of 8 statutory holidays.

Salary: GES offers professional and attractive pay rates in line with, and above, the current 2021/22 JIB, IET & AEMT Industry Engineering Rates Review.

Essential Criteria:

  • A higher-level qualification in an Engineering field, and/or at least 3 years relevant experience within the Engineering/Manufacturing industry.
  • ILM Qualified.
  • Incorporated Engineer Qualified in IOSH Managing Safely.
  • A minimum of 5 years previous project management experience.
  • Previous experience managing, installing and commissioning LV distribution panels as part of a project.

Desired Criteria:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including Management Information System software (Pegasus Opera III preferred but not essential, as full training will be given).
  • Skilled at multi‑tasking and managing multiple priorities, and both internal and external relationships.
  • Experience in HV is desirable, however full training can be given.

Experience & Skills: The post holder will have a strong electrical and construction background to provide project engineering support for electrical engineering activities. The focus of the work will include the delivery of projects, overseeing project planning and control of budgets. In addition, the post holder will manage contractors on a daily basis with a prime focus on safety while adhering to industry best practices and GES procedures. A flexible working pattern (including weekends) may occasionally be required to meet the demands of the projects.
