Do you have experience within the exhibition and events industry? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? GES is currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team based at the Excel in London.

Role Purpose: You will help manage all logistical requirements, provide warehouse assistance to the production team, and ensure Covid Safe processes are followed in the warehouse.

What you will do:

  • Use Clarity to plan jobs and control costs.
  • Provide clear and accurate work updates on Clarity to ensure tasks are completed as per business requirements and timelines.
  • Train and develop new team members to ensure they understand their roles, including the use of Clarity.
  • Ensure all departments have necessary materials for their duties.
  • Work closely with production to meet loading deadlines.
  • Unload and load shows from the warehouse to show locations within venues.
  • Prepare and pack all show requirements, labeling stock as needed.
  • Check using Clarity to ensure all items are loaded on time for each event.
  • Collaborate with WM on all health and safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks on all vehicle loads, ensuring compliance with VOSA regulations.
  • Assist WM to ensure all processes are followed.
  • Engage in continuous improvement by suggesting opportunities to your line manager.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the company's core values.
  • Participate in the company's sustainability initiatives, supporting reuse, recycling, and replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, corporate, client, and legislative standards.
  • Be flexible to undertake various tasks at different times and locations.
  • Represent the company professionally, staying informed about industry trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Relationships: You will develop positive working relationships internally and externally to facilitate growth and integration. You will support GES employees, departments, and external partners such as suppliers, exhibitors, and organizers.
