GES is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Congress Project Manager (Furniture) to join our Central Planning team based at the Excel in London. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional service to clients worldwide, this is the opportunity for you!
As a Congress Project Manager (Furniture) at GES, you will liaise at all levels with internal and external stakeholders to manage, recommend and implement processes pre-show, onsite and post-show. Working with the Furniture Planner, you will strive to be the GES furniture partner conduit and enforcer, working closely with GES furniture partner to ensure the quality, delivery, efficiency and product growth is stable and heightened.
Main duties include but are not limited to:
- Be the main furniture project lead liaising with the client, Client Manager and GES Furniture Planner.
- Main client liaison stakeholder ensuring accurate data entry of orders, delivery dates and times and communication to the GES Furniture Partner. Ensure all orders are processed on time in relation to each project plan.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure they are receiving the support to execute their furniture hire requirements as per agreed SLAs.
- Liaise with the Furniture Planner to ensure all planned projects are loaded onto SOP, Clarity and Sage X3 (PO process).
- Liaising direct with our Congress clients, manage and forward plan all furniture orders for each event.
- Ensure stock levels within SOP are always correct.
- Work closely with the Furniture Team to ensure orders are efficiently processed and prepared. Provide administrative support to the Furniture Team when congresses are not within the operational schedule.
- Prepare and upload data to our pre-show and delivery platform Show Build Live to ensure onsite operational delivery excellence at all times.
- Assist onsite as required by the Furniture Planner. This may involve additional hours and weekend working.
- Provide revenue and statistical data as and when required for the Furniture Planner and Head of Central Planning.
- Assist with the review process when challenges are met, effecting the deliverance of products and services, introducing best practices, coaching to quickly resolve the challenges on site as they occur and review ongoing processes. Reporting any recommendations back to the Furniture Planner.
- Onsite audits to measure the SLA process is adhered and set objectives are met. Recommend solutions and review processes to both internal stakeholders and the GES Furniture Partner.

Salary: This role offers a competitive salary, dependent on experience. We operate a reward strategy based on our team members receiving a salary that best reflects their experience and skill level.
Hours of work: Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm. On occasion you may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods to meet the demands of the business.
Annual leave: Our holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays and statutory public holidays).
