Job Advert: Are you a proactive and organised administrator who thrives in a dynamic commercial environment? Join the Visit by GES team and support our global commercial efforts by providing efficient administration, conducting market research, and identifying exciting new business opportunities. You’ll play a key role in supporting the commercial team and contributing to the growth of our business.
What You’ll Do:
- Day-to-Day Support: Assist the Visit Commercial Team with daily activities, collaborating with internal teams to prepare pitch decks, client communications, proposal documents, and manage smaller projects to free up time for client-facing meetings.
- Digital Proposals: Create accurate, engaging digital proposals, working closely with the wider business to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and opportunities.
- Market Research & Pipeline Building: Track the market and identify new opportunities in the industry by researching venues, industry bodies, and competitors. Provide weekly reports on new business opportunities and industry developments to stay ahead of market trends.
- Lead Generation: Identify key decision-makers in targeted businesses (typically in Operations, Marketing, and Technical roles). Proactively reach out to build relationships through multiple channels (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.), and work on early-stage opportunities like tenders and RFPs.
- Relationship Management: Make initial contact with potential clients, arrange meetings, and facilitate introductions when appropriate for the commercial team.
- Target Setting & Reporting: Participate in monthly meetings with the commercial team to set targets, review progress, and adapt strategies as needed.
- Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative support to the team, including travel and hotel bookings, raising purchase orders and invoices, and other tasks as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) to support daily tasks and documentation.
- Excellent computer navigation skills are required – with the ability to open multiple computer windows and access data from multiple sources efficiently, whilst interacting with customers.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.
- A proactive attitude towards market research and identifying new business opportunities.
- Ability to establish relationships with key decision-makers and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in supporting commercial teams with client-facing documents, proposals, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to team initiatives and improvements.
- Strong multitasking ability, such as entering information and conversing simultaneously, while ensuring accuracy.
