Stores Operative 2 Positions Available | 12-Month Rolling Contract
Location: Nuneaton (onsite)
Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence
Purpose of the Role Reporting to the Central Testing Operations Manager, this is an opportunity to join a busy logistics team within a specialist automotive environment undergoing transformation and rapid growth.
Principal Accountabilities Control the inbound and outbound movement of goods, parts and vehicles within yard and workshop areas.
Maintain accurate stock, picking and inventory records and documentation across all storage locations.
Prioritise urgent parts and ensure timely distribution to prevent programme delays.
Support the loading and unloading of vehicles and goods in accordance with established processes.
Prepare, review and complete transport documentation, including TRFs, inventory records and packing lists.
Ensure packing, labelling and load segregation meet regulatory export requirements.
Liaise with relevant development teams, including passive safety, durability and prototype build teams, regarding parts movement.
Assist with freight preparation for UK, EU and rest-of-world shipments.
Monitor and maintain good housekeeping across the yard, stores and loading areas.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of stores and freight-handling processes.
Pick, sort, pack and load materials for external test locations.
Receive and process materials into the yard for internal distribution.
Ensure all processes and safety requirements are followed.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and safe working conditions.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Full UK driving licence.
Counterbalance forklift licence desirable.
Previous experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office; SAP experience advantageous.
Understanding of shipping, freight, carnet or customs processes desirable.
