This is a really nice opportunity for a Mechanical Test Engineer to join a growing design and manufacturing company in the southern Hampshire area. This company recently received major investment and has secured one of their biggest projects to date.
You’ll be joining a small team of test professionals and helping to bolster the team with your industry experience. You’ll be performing calculations, designing tests and concepts, leading the process and working closely with the manufacturing, design and analysis teams. The majority of the tests are bend, tension and burst often operating in the bar range so any experience with high pressure testing would be advantageous, as would a sincere appreciation of health and safety.
Principal Accountabilities- Develop & carry out short and long‑term tests of composite pipe.
- Manage suppliers of test equipment and 3rd party test houses to enable the efficient execution of test activities both internally and externally.
- Lead the development of testing methods and projects (including instrumentation) to facilitate greater understanding of composite pipe structural performance.
- Prepare test procedures, analyse test data and write test reports to clearly communicate the objectives, methods and results of test campaigns.
