Were looking for a Senior Engineer to act as a technical authority, leading key design efforts and mentoring a skilled team of engineers. Youll play a pivotal role in shaping the development of advanced mechanical systems from early-stage concept to fully validated solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design activities across complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Develop and manage detailed 3D CAD models (SolidWorks preferred) and perform robust design analysis including stress, thermal, and fluid flow.
  • Conduct tolerance analysis, material selection, and DFMA.
  • Define test plans and instrumentation for development and compliance testing.
  • Support supplier validation, quality issue resolution, and engineering change management.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers, with potential line management responsibilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of engineering tools, processes, and documentation.

What Youll Need:

  • A relevant engineering degree (2:1 or higher) and Chartered Engineer status.
  • Proven experience with CAD design, preferably SolidWorks.
  • A strong background in packaging electronics, especially for harsh or vibrating environmentswith a good understanding, appreciation or experience of thermal analysis
  • Familiarity with FMEA, regulatory compliance (e.g. CE marking), and New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions and influence effectively.
