The predicted salary is between 35000 - 55000 £ per year.
We are looking for an Engineer to support the development and testing of R&D Prototype stage electromechanical products. The position is hands on, completing product validation and verification tests which include specifying and designing appropriate test procedures, building and setting up test equipment, carrying out product testing, analysis of collected data and producing the necessary reports and documentation.
Relevant Knowledge & Experience
- Essential:
- Strong experience as an electro-mechanical technician in an R&D laboratory or product development environment
- Experience in working to test procedures and generating test specifications and reports
- Experienced in fault finding and problem diagnosis with High Voltage applications
- Experience with soldering and wiring
- Experience in using lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, current clamps, data loggers
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Science or Engineering related subject
- Familiarity with and testing of electric motors and/or inverters
- Familiarity with testing to automotive standards
- Laboratory software programming (LabVIEW etc.)
- Experience working in an environment with hazardous voltages
This position may suit an Environmental Test Engineer who may have set up and run vibration, thermal, emc, durability, dyno, corrosion type tests. We are looking for someone with energy, drive and a problem solving approach.
