IT Support Technician
to join their IT team in Great Yarmouth. This is a hands-on role providing
on-site and remote IT support
across multiple locations, covering endpoint and application support, user administration and local infrastructure. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can investigate and resolve technical issues independently, while knowing when to escalate more complex incidents. The Role
Provide IT support and system administration across
Windows Server Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams Manage user onboarding, role changes and offboarding, including account creation, access assignment, device preparation, licence allocation and IT inductions Build, configure, deploy and support
Windows endpoints , maintaining accurate asset and configuration records Diagnose hardware, operating system, application and peripheral issues Monitor and maintain local network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, internet connectivity, structured cabling and meeting-room technology Install, configure and support approved software, including monitoring device and application compliance and deploying security updates and patches Work with third-party support providers where required to resolve issues efficiently Manage user accounts, primarily using
Active Directory / Azure Active Directory Work alongside remote IT team members to provide support and cover where required Manage incidents, service requests and tasks through the IT service-management system, prioritising work according to impact and urgency Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge articles Monitor scheduled backup jobs, investigate failures and support authorised data-restoration requests Follow IT, information-security and data-protection policies and procedures About You
You'll ideally have: At least 3 years' experience
supporting and maintaining a corporate technical infrastructure Previous IT support experience across different levels of an organisation Strong practical experience supporting
Microsoft 365 , including user and licence administration, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams Good knowledge of
Windows 11, Microsoft 365 Apps, Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy Experience with remote IT support Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Experience with enterprise networking concepts and troubleshooting, including
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, wireless networks, VLANs, routing, VPNs, firewalls and secure remote access A practical understanding of cyber security, information security and data protection The ability to investigate unfamiliar technical issues methodically, identify root causes and implement safe resolutions Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload according to business impact, urgency, security risk and agreed service levels Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A self-motivated, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take ownership Desirable Experience
Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender, including device enrolment, compliance policies, application deployment and endpoint security Microsoft cloud and hybrid services, including identity, access, virtual infrastructure, monitoring and secure connectivity Cloud telephony solutions Cloud backup solutions Relevant computing qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience Current Microsoft certifications relating to endpoint administration, Microsoft 365, Azure, identity or security Location & Travel
The role is
