We're recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join an established engineering and technology business in Norfolk, supporting the introduction of new products within a highly regulated, high-reliability manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in advanced manufacturing, electronics, microelectronics, semiconductor or similarly complex industries who enjoys taking products from concept through to production.

Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll play a key role in developing manufacturing processes, solving technical challenges and ensuring new products are introduced smoothly and efficiently.

The Role
  • Lead the selection of materials and development of manufacturing processes for new and existing products
  • Provide technical expertise across manufacturing technologies, working closely with design, production and quality teams
  • Support the introduction of new products, ensuring successful transition from development into manufacture
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process specifications and Bills of Materials
  • Work alongside Quality to define and execute qualification activities for new products and processes
  • Liaise with suppliers and external partners to evaluate and implement new manufacturing capabilities
  • Drive continuous improvement activities focused on productivity, quality and process robustness
  • Communicate project progress and technical updates to stakeholders across the business
About You

You'll ideally have experience within a complex manufacturing environment and enjoy working on technically challenging products. We're particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing materials and production processes
  • Experience supporting technology development and manufacturing improvement projects
  • Background in electronics, microelectronics, semiconductor, aerospace, defence or other high-reliability industries
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to engineering challenges
  • Experience in any of the following would be advantageous: Cleanroom manufacturing environments, Electronic assembly or packaging technologies, Process development and optimisation, Industry quality standards such as ISO or AS9100, Operator training or technical documentation
