The predicted salary is between 34200 - 41800 Β£ per year.

Main purpose of the job: To support the digital development and delivery of an advanced vehicle technology demonstrator programme from concept through to build and validation. Working closely with Design, Engineering, Prototype Build, Manufacturing and suppliers, the role is responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality CAD data that translates the vision into robust, buildable geometry. The role will drive definition, manufacture and delivery while leveraging AI-enabled engineering tools and workflows to improve efficiency, quality and innovation.

Main missions and results:

  • Develop and maintain complete CAD models, assemblies, surfaces and engineering drawings for project.
  • Drive the digital product definition from concept through delivery.
  • Translate design concepts and engineering requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions.
  • Support development of Class-A and engineering surfaces.
  • Support build activity, engineering changes, issue resolution and design refinement.
  • Ensure CAD data is suitable for manufacturing, procurement and build.
  • Compile and manage engineering releases to support build timeline.
  • Leverage AI tools throughout all stages of development and act as an AI Champion.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Significant experience in relevant automotive discipline such as Studio Engineering, Vehicle Package, Prototype Development, Technology Demonstration.
  • Strong CAD expertise in CATIA.
  • Experience delivering technology demonstrators, concept vehicles, prototype assets, engineering mock-ups, cubes, bucks or similar.
  • Knowledge of Class-A surfacing.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for buck / cube activities.
  • Experience using PLM/PDM systems.
  • Demonstrated interest in applying AI within engineering and product development.
