Are you a commercially driven professional with a passion for events and strategic business development? We are looking for a Business Development Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our clients' Events Business, supporting growth across Product Launches, Demonstrations, Training, and more. This is a unique opportunity to drive event-based revenue, develop strategic partnerships, and elevate the company's profile as a leading destination for event hosting in the UK and beyond. Reporting into the Commercial Team, you'll work closely with the Events Management Lead and broader Sales function to secure high-impact opportunities and deliver real commercial value.
Role Mission
- Deliver and exceed Order Intake and As-Sold Margin targets.
- Own and execute a dynamic business development and sales plan.
- Identify, engage, and convert target customers, building trusted relationships at senior levels.
- Drive strategic partnerships that amplify the offer and enable step-change growth.
- Champion the Events business both internally and externally, maximising visibility and positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic customer development plans.
- Lead opportunity development, bid strategy and contract negotiations.
- Provide expert input into pipeline reviews and support bid governance.
- Collaborate across commercial and delivery teams to ensure end-to-end customer success.
- Manage pipeline, RFQs, and proposals in accordance with internal processes and compliance standards.

- Proven experience in business development/sales within the Events sector.
- Strong track record of closing commercial deals and building high-value client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness and presentation skills.
