We're looking for a practical, hands-on Electrical Systems & Commissioning Engineer to support the build, testing, installation and servicing of bespoke industrial process equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, custom-built machinery from initial assembly through to commissioning at customer sites across the UK and internationally. What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the electrical build and integration of bespoke machinery.
- Testing and validating complete machine systems before customer acceptance.
- Installing and commissioning equipment at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
- Carrying out fault finding, maintenance and technical support.
- Delivering customer training and supporting Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
- Contributing to continuous improvement by feeding back lessons learned from commissioning and service activities.
What we're looking for:
Essential:
- HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience commissioning, servicing or supporting industrial machinery or bespoke OEM equipment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills and knowledge of industrial control systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and internationally.
Desirable:
- Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley or similar PLCs.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP or Modbus.
- Experience with AutoCAD or EPLAN.
- Understanding of CE/UKCA Machinery Regulations.
- Experience with high-power industrial equipment.
