We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Design Engineer to help turn innovative designs into reality. You’ll optimise additive manufacturing processes, create build files, implement post-processing methods, and analyse hardware performance to ensure top-quality components.
What You’ll Do
- Optimise AM process parameters for both specific applications and broader use cases
- Generate build files, designing part orientation, nesting, and supports
- Implement post-processing and CNC machining for ready-to-use components
- Analyse and improve AM hardware performance through experimental methods
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical Engineering degree (2:1 or equivalent)
- 1+ years’ experience in design or manufacturing engineering
- Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
- Excellent problem-solving and practical solution skills
- Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects
- Hands-on attitude and strong collaboration skills
Bonus Points
- Experience with metal additive manufacturing
- Exposure to aerospace, automotive, or electronics industries
- Knowledge of traditional manufacturing techniques
- Research or thesis experience in a relevant field
