Are you a recent graduate with a passion for software quality and problem-solving? We're looking for a Graduate Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our engineering team and help ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software for innovative engineering products. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in software testing, working alongside experienced engineers in a supportive environment with plenty of opportunities for training and development.
What you'll do:
- Review software requirements and define test conditions
- Design, execute and maintain manual test cases
- Identify, record and track software defects through to resolution
- Analyse test results and produce clear, accurate reports
- Maintain test documentation and traceability
- Support quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle
- Work closely with software developers to improve product quality
What we're looking for:
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Alternatively, a degree in Engineering, Physics or another STEM subject with a strong interest in software quality
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
Desirable:
- Knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies
- Understanding of Agile or Waterfall development
- Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps or TestRail
- ISTQB Foundation certification, or a willingness to work towards it
