We are seeking an Applications Systems Engineer to coordinate and deliver bespoke engineering solutions from prototype design through to test, validation, and integration. You will work closely with engineering, software, production, and commercial teams to meet customer requirements on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role includes supporting customer trials onshore and offshore, integrating systems in the field, interpreting technical datasets, and ensuring safe and effective operation of equipment. You must be comfortable working internationally, sometimes in challenging environments, and communicating technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver custom engineering solutions and systems integrations
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure designs are tested, validated, and delivered to spec
- Support and conduct customer trials, analyse results, and provide feedback for improvement
- Interpret datasets for troubleshooting and performance optimisation
- Prepare risk assessments and conduct toolbox talks for onsite activities
- Create and improve technical documentation and user manuals
- Provide customer training and support for integrated solutions
- Feed customer needs into future development roadmaps
- Manage technology demonstrations and evaluations
- Engineering degree (e.g., Robotics, Mechatronics, Survey, Electronics, Systems, Communications, Software)
- Strong communication, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, use electronics tools, and work safely
- Experience working autonomously and collaborating across teams
- Good physical fitness and willingness to travel onshore/offshore
- Strong customer focus and ability to build effective working relationships
- Experience with marine survey equipment, GNSS, hydrographic methods, or subsea systems
- Python experience
- Offshore or vessel-based operations experience
