We are hiring for a Commercial Director / Chief Revenue Officer.
TUAL delivers resilient, battery-buffered DC charging systems for mission-critical fleets — defence, blue-light, utilities, telecoms, and other network backbone operators. The Commercial Director will build and run the end-to-end commercial engine. They will design, execute, and manage all revenue-generating functions — sales, business development, marketing execution, partnerships, pricing, and customer success. The CEO remains the public face of TUAL; the Commercial Director is the operational force behind every win.
Core Objectives:
- Scale customer sales.
- Develop 5+ major fleet & infrastructure accounts, each in excess of £2m revenues in 2026.
- Build a full outbound sales machine targeting mission-critical fleets directly (no resellers).
- Create predictable, scalable pipeline management and reporting discipline.
- Execute marketing activity for visibility and preference, working with CEO on strategy & brand direction.
- Convert CEO visibility into qualified opportunities and contracted volume.
- Establish the systems, tools, and team that make commercial performance repeatable and measurable.
Candidate Profile:
- 10–15 years in senior B2B commercial roles within EV charging, energy infrastructure, or adjacent enterprise hardware sectors.
- Proven record building commercial engines from scratch and delivering multi-million-pound annual revenues in long-cycle (9–18 month) enterprise sales.
- Deep familiarity with fleet electrification, grid constraints, and charging technology fundamentals.
- Strong commercial judgement: pricing, contract structure, negotiation, and risk control.
- Data-driven and systems-minded: builds scalable process, not heroic one-off sales.
- Hands-on operator; thrives in resource-lean scale-ups.
- Aligns with TUAL values - self-determined, ambitious, long-term in outlook.
- Operates behind the scenes, enabling CEO and business to scale visibly.
