Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Post‑Completion Clerk to join their dynamic Real Estate Finance (REF) team in a permanent, full‑time role. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring all post‑completion tasks are completed accurately and within statutory deadlines. You will be responsible for managing property registration processes, maintaining priority periods, handling requisitions, and working closely with clients and lenders to deliver a smooth and efficient post‑completion service. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit SDLT, AP1 and FR1 applications via the Land Registry online portal.
- Collate and verify all supporting documents for Land Registry applications.
- Conduct OS1/OS2 and bankruptcy searches, ensuring priority periods are maintained.
- Manage requisitions end‑to‑end, including drafting responses and tracking deadlines to avoid cancellations.
- Handle discharges, restrictions, and security registrations within statutory timelines.
- Upload post‑completion documents to LMS and Lender Exchange portals.
- Keep lender clients updated on progress through their preferred communication channels (e.g. portals, email, fax, or letter).
- Ensure clients receive confirmation and documentation upon completion of registration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate registration and timely resolution of requisitions.
- Provide support with additional tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Previous experience in post‑completion work within property or real estate finance is desirable, but not essential.
- Understanding of Land Registry processes, SDLT returns, and lender portals (e.g. LMS, Lender Exchange).
- Excellent time management skills to meet statutory deadlines and manage multiple cases effectively.
- Proactive approach to resolving requisitions and handling queries promptly.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
