Family Solicitor (2-5 years PQE)
Our client, a well-established, multi-office firm of solicitors across West Kent and East Sussex, is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join their expanding family team. The firm has recently been recognised with a "Law Firm of the Year" award and a "Team of the Year" accolade, reflecting a genuinely supportive culture and a strong reputation in the local market.
About the Role
As Family Solicitor, you'll handle a broad and varied caseload with a particular focus on financial remedy matters on divorce, including mid to high-net-worth cases. You'll also advise on pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes involving jointly owned property, and private children matters concerning care arrangements.
This Family Solicitor role would suit someone who enjoys autonomy while still being part of a genuinely supportive, close-knit team, with client interviews conducted flexibly across the firm's offices or at client premises as needed.

- Conducting legal research and devising case strategy
- Drafting case papers and obtaining evidence from witnesses and experts
- Briefing barristers and negotiating settlements
- Issuing proceedings and attending and representing clients at interim hearings
- Maintaining client files to the required compliance and quality standards
About You
- 2-5 years' PQE as a Family Solicitor
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly given the compliance-critical nature of client account work
- A confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and third parties
- Willingness to work flexibly across office locations as required
What's on Offer
- Competitive salary and discretionary bonus scheme
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, additional time off at Christmas, and your birthday off
- Hybrid working (up to 2 days from home)
- Private healthcare after probation, death in service cover, and an Employee Assistance Programme
- Auto-enrolment pension and a range of social and charity events
