Location: central Manchester – hybrid working after first 6 weeks of training in the office
Hours: Monday – Friday and then 1 in every 4 Saturday (with a rest day back in the week)
Salary: Dependant on candidate background, with flexibility upwards if needed.
About the Role
This role as an Insurance Claims Specialist focuses on speaking with customers, helping resolve their claims, and supporting the wider team to achieve good results for one of the UK's leading personal lines insurers. You’ll spend most of your time talking to customers and working towards performance targets, while also helping teammates improve and keeping service standards high. Although it is preferred you do not need previous claims or insurance experience. My client welcomes people from call centres, telesales, or cold calling backgrounds. Full training will be provided.
For this role you will need Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Speaking with customers and helping move their claim forward.
- Working towards personal and team performance targets.
- Spending around 60% of your time handling customer calls and 40% supporting team tasks.
- Helping teammates by sharing knowledge, feedback, and support.
- Following company rules and legal guidelines.
- Spotting ways to improve how the team works.
- Helping during busy periods, including some evenings or weekends if needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a telephone-based customer-focused or sales role (call centre, telesales, etc.).
- Confidence speaking to people and handling objections.
- Motivation to meet targets and performance goals.
- Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
- Claims experience is helpful but not required.
