We’re delighted to be working with a highly regarded, boutique property law firm to recruit an accounts manager to join their friendly and close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts manager or legal accounts professional to join a supportive and down-to-earth firm where collaboration and culture are genuinely valued. The role offers flexibility in both hours (3–5 days per week) and level, making it ideal for someone looking to step into a managerial position or continue developing within a legal accounts function.

The Role

As an accounts manager, you’ll work closely alongside two experienced legal cashiers/accounts assistants, supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function. Depending on your experience, you may also take on more oversight and managerial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing client and office accounts in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
  • Processing transactions, including receipts, payments, and transfers
  • Handling legal billing and supporting fee earners with billing processes
  • Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Overseeing or assisting with credit control, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
  • Supporting compliance and audit requirements
  • Potentially supervising or mentoring junior team members (depending on level)

About You

  • Has previous experience within a legal accounts or legal cashiering role (or within a professional services environment)
  • Has a strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), or willingness to learn this quickly
  • Is confident with legal billing processes
  • Has experience in credit control
  • Is organised, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively
  • Brings a positive, team-focused attitude
  • Has access to a car due to the office location
