An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal PA to join a close-knit, supportive law firm with a genuinely positive and down-to-earth culture. This role will provide high-level support to one experienced Litigation/Dispute Resolution Partner, offering real autonomy in day-to-day work and ample opportunity to develop skills in a stable, well-respected environment. This position is particularly well suited to a career Legal PA or Legal Secretary/Assistant who enjoys providing exceptional legal support, rather than someone seeking progression towards qualification.
The Role
- You will play a key role within the litigation function, acting as a trusted PA to the Partner and ensuring the smooth running of matters from instruction through to resolution.
Key responsibilities include:
- PA & Administrative Support
- Providing comprehensive PA support to one Partner, including diary management, travel arrangements and expenses.
- Managing incoming correspondence, calls and emails, ensuring effective prioritisation.
- Drafting, formatting and proofreading legal documents with a high degree of accuracy.
- Preparing court bundles for hearings, mediations and meetings.
- Maintaining electronic filing systems and up-to-date case files.
- Assisting with the preparation and filing of court documents in line with deadlines and procedures.
- Coordinating disclosure, witness statements and trial bundles.
- Liaising with counsel, experts, clients and court officials.
- Tracking key dates, deadlines and limitation periods.
- Supporting communication within the litigation team and across the wider firm.
- Managing billing, time recording and client account matters.
- Delivering a consistently high level of client care and confidentiality.
About You
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal PA or Legal Secretary within a law firm.
- Previous experience in Litigation or Dispute Resolution is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of court procedures and e-filing systems (CE-File).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Confident, discreet and professional manner.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting a Partner.
- Knowledge of LEAP or similar practice management systems.
- Familiarity with monthly billing processes.
