Legal Secretary to join the Commercial Property team, with a focus on agricultural and rural property matters. A long-established and highly respected law firm is looking to recruit a Legal Secretary to work closely with a dedicated fee-earner on a 1-to-1 basis, providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support in a friendly, supportive, and professional environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the fee-earner’s caseload, acting as a vital point of contact for clients and third parties.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Providing full secretarial and administrative support to a commercial property fee-earner
- Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents and correspondence
- Audio and copy typing
- Managing diaries, appointments, and meetings
- Handling incoming calls and emails, dealing with client queries professionally
- Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in line with firm procedures
- Managing post, emails, and document filing (electronic and paper)
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, agents, and other third parties
- Assisting with billing, time recording, and file administration
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
- Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary (any practice area considered)
- Strong typing and document production skills
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
- Ability to manage workload effectively and work well under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
