Junior FP&A Analyst

Are you naturally good with numbers, curious about data and interested in building a career in Finance?

A growing Financial Services business is looking for a Junior FP&A Analyst to join its established Financial Planning & Analysis team.

The Role

Working within a supportive FP&A team, you will help gather, analyse and interpret financial and business data to support decision-making across the organisation.

You will have exposure to

  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Financial modelling.
  • Data gathering and analysis.
  • Monthly management reporting.
  • Variance analysis.
  • Business performance reporting.
  • AI and automation within Finance.
  • Scenario analysis and commercial decision support.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Gathering financial and operational data from across the business.
  • Analysing data and identifying trends or unusual movements.
  • Supporting budgets and forecasts.
  • Helping maintain financial models.
  • Producing management information and analysis.
  • Supporting monthly reporting and variance analysis.
  • Working with large data sets.
  • Using AI and automation tools to improve reporting and analysis.
  • Supporting senior FP&A colleagues with ad hoc modelling and projects.
  • Working with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.

About You

We are looking for potential as much as previous experience.

You may be

  • A recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Data or a similar analytical subject.
  • Already working in a junior finance role and looking to move into FP&A.
  • Someone with strong numerical skills who wants to build a long-term career in Finance.

You will ideally have

  • Strong numerical and analytical ability.
  • Good Excel skills and an interest in developing them further.
  • An interest in data, technology and AI.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A curious mindset and willingness to ask questions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.

Previous Finance or FP&A experience would be beneficial but is not essential .

You may already be studying towards

CIMA, ACCA or another finance qualification , or be interested in doing so as your career develops.

For someone ambitious and keen to progress, this role offers genuine exposure to FP&A and the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a career in commercial finance.
