Customer Care Agent – Motor Insurance

Location: Rainham, Essex, UK

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 + Benefits d.o.e

4 days in office, work from home on Fridays!

This role will only accept candidates who have insurance experience and are in a commutable distance to Rainham, Essex.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries via phone and live chat.
  • Provide expert guidance on quotations, new business, renewals, and existing policies.
  • Ensure excellent customer experiences by meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Work towards key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to team success.
  • Identify areas for service improvements and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and data protection policies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous insurance call agent / call centre / sales experience is essential. Motor insurance preferred. Other insurance product experience is also considered.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills – able to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • A positive, proactive attitude – a true team player who is motivated to deliver service excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills – able to listen, understand customer needs, and provide the best solutions.
  • Reliability & integrity – trustworthy, ethical, and committed to treating customers fairly.
