An innovative and growing insurance business with circa. 2500 staff based in London is seeking a CFO to lead financial operations and strategy. This is a hands-on role requiring a commercially astute leader with a strong understanding of daily trading activity, financial controls and regulatory responsibility at the SMF2 level.

The successful candidate will be deeply embedded in the commercial and operational aspects of the business. They will work closely with heads of departments on trading activity, understand the financial levers that drive performance, and be assertive yet relationship-driven in their approach.

This role demands a confident and assertive leader with the expertise to navigate complex financial and commercial challenges decisively. You must possess a strong boardroom presence and the credibility to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.

Suitable candidates will have proven experience as a Finance Director or CFO and will have a strong understanding of Insurance trading activity. This should be combined with ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification.
