Trainee Legal Cashier – Maidstone Are you an aspiring legal cashier with a passion for numbers and an interest in law? We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Legal Cashier to join a highly regarded and established law firm based in Maidstone. This is a fantastic entry-level role for someone with a genuine enthusiasm for accountancy and legal cashiering. Whether you have completed a numerical A-Level (e.g. mathematics or business), an accountancy degree, or a bookkeeping/accountancy course, this could be the ideal first step in your career. The Role As a Trainee Legal Cashier, you will: Gain hands-on experience in legal cashiering, working closely with a supportive team of three experienced professionals. Receive full training to develop your skills and knowledge in managing client accounts and financial transactions within a legal environment. Perform key legal cashiering duties, including: Processing client and office account transactions. Assisting with the reconciliation of client and office accounts. Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. Managing payments, receipts, and transfers in line with strict procedural guidelines. Maintaining accurate records and handling financial queries. Supporting the team with month-end and year-end processes.This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent, based on business needs. What We’re Looking For To succeed in this role, you’ll need: A strong interest in accountancy or legal cashiering. Educational background or qualifications in relevant areas (e.g., numerical A-Levels, a degree in accountancy or similar field, or relevant course such as bookkeeping/AAT, etc.). A proactive and keen-to-learn attitude. The ability to work full-time in the office in Maidstone, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.What’s on Offer Starting salary up to £25,000.
