The Commercial Property team advises developers, investors, landlords, tenants and occupiers on a broad range of property matters, and is recognised in the independent legal directories for the quality of its advice.

The Role

We are seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor to join our Bristol team, working on a varied caseload of commercial property transactions and advisory matters. This is an opportunity to build a broad property practice within a well-regarded, Legal 500-ranked team, with genuine early client contact and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting on commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and lease renewals
  • Advising landlord and tenant clients on a range of commercial property matters
  • Liaising with clients, agents and other professionals throughout transactions
  • Advising on real estate finance matters, including acting for lenders and borrowers on secured property transactions
  • Supporting development projects, including site acquisitions, option agreements, overage arrangements and pre-let agreements
  • Advising on landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, and dilapidations
  • Handling the property aspects of corporate transactions, including sale and purchase due diligence
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial leases, licences, easements and other property documentation
  • Advising investor and occupier clients on portfolio management and asset management matters

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), 2-6 years' PQE in commercial property law
  • Strong technical drafting and analytical skills, with solid transactional experience
  • Excellent client-facing manner and ability to manage a varied, fee-earning caseload with minimal supervision
  • Commercially aware, with an interest in business development and building client relationships
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collegiate environment
