A well-established and traditional law firm is looking to recruit a Residential Conveyancer (NQ3 PQE) to join its Eastbourne office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a highly reputable Partner in a respected firm renowned for its strong client relationships, long-standing presence in the local community, and commitment to delivering a high-quality, personal service.
The Role
- Acting for buyers and sellers in a broad range of residential conveyancing transactions.
- Managing the full conveyancing process from initial instruction through to completion and registration.
- Handling a mixed caseload including freehold, leasehold, re-mortgage, and buy-to-let matters.
- Ensuring full compliance with the UK Finance Mortgage Lenders Handbook.
- Advising clients on SDLT, including higher rates, reliefs, and exemptions.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other professionals.
The Person
- Ideally NQ3 years PQE, though applications from candidates with equivalent experience are welcome.
- Qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEX although qualification is not essential depending on experience.
- Confident in managing a busy and varied caseload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent client care and communication skills, with a proactive and personable approach.
- Comfortable working independently and without reliance on a case management system.
- A team player who embodies the firm's traditional values of professionalism, integrity, and dedication.
