Why this role matters
As Pricing Transformation Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Pricing Transformation to deliver innovative pricing solutions that maximise value for both customers and the business. You will lead technical projects, manage a team of analysts creating the conditions for them to thrive, and embed advanced modelling techniques and optimisation tools to create smarter, more agile pricing strategies. Ultimately, you will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of our pricing capability and ensuring we stay ahead in a fast moving market.
What you will do:
- Manage and develop a team of pricing analysts; coach for performance, quality, and growth.
- Deliver and enhance pricing models and optimisation processes using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Drive improvements in pricing performance and efficiency through innovative methodologies.
- Research, develop, and champion best practice methods and ensure they are embedded across the pricing function.
- Collaborate with Modelling, Optimisation, and Street Pricing teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with pricing governance and maintain robust controls.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
- Champion continuous improvement and research and development to advance pricing capability.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in a pricing or actuarial role within general insurance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and develop a team.
- Fluency in modern pricing tooling and data platforms (e.g., WTW Radar or Earnix, Python/R, Azure Databricks) with strength in directing and executing technical work.
- Proven ability to deliver commercial value through pricing insight and innovation.
- Highly numerate with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related analytical discipline.
- A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and challenging the norm.
