The Commercial Property team advises developers, investors, landlords, tenants and occupiers on a broad range of property matters, and is recognised in the independent legal directories for the quality of its advice.
The Role
We are seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor to join our Bristol team, working on a varied caseload of commercial property transactions and advisory matters. This is an opportunity to build a broad property practice within a well-regarded, Legal 500-ranked team, with genuine early client contact and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting on commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and lease renewals - Advising landlord and tenant clients on a range of commercial property matters - Liaising with clients, agents and other professionals throughout transactions - Advising on real estate finance matters, including acting for lenders and borrowers on secured property transactions - Supporting development projects, including site acquisitions, option agreements, overage arrangements and pre-let agreements - Advising on landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, and dilapidations - Handling the property aspects of corporate transactions, including sale and purchase due diligence - Drafting and negotiating commercial leases, licences, easements and other property documentation - Advising investor and occupier clients on portfolio management and asset management matters
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), 2-6 years' PQE in commercial property law - Strong technical drafting and analytical skills, with solid transactional experience - Excellent client-facing manner and ability to manage a varied, fee-earning caseload with minimal supervision - Commercially aware, with an interest in business development and building client relationships - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collegiate environment
