My fast-growing client is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised HR People Assistant to join their busy HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering first-class administration support and is passionate about developing a career in HR. You’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day HR operations—handling sensitive employee data, supporting lifecycle processes, assisting with compliance, and delivering great service to employees and managers alike.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing efficient admin support across all areas of the People/HR function
- Maintaining accurate employee records and updating HR systems regularly
- Assisting with onboarding, inductions, and offboarding processes
- Drafting offer letters, contracts, and handling pre-employment checks
- Supporting with policy updates, document control, and basic employment law research
- Responding to employee and manager HR queries professionally and promptly
- Helping coordinate employee benefits, engagement activities, and internal communications
- Managing the HR inbox and internal ticketing tasks
- Supporting key lifecycle processes including sickness, probation reviews, appraisals, and reporting
- Keeping internal resources—such as job specs, policies, and SharePoint—organised and up to date
What We’re Looking For:
- 18+ months of experience in an HR or People function.
- HR-related qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 3 or working towards) is desirable.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- High standard of integrity, discretion, and a genuine commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Proactive mindset and a willingness to learn and grow.
