Our client, a highly regarded regional law firm, is looking to recruit a Legal Secretary / Legal Support Assistant to join its Employment & Immigration team on a 14-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key support role, working closely with fee earners across the team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of matters, billing and administration. The role

  • Providing proactive legal and administrative support to solicitors and partners
  • Opening and closing matters on the case management system
  • Managing billing processes and handling accounts queries
  • Diary management, including tribunal dates and key deadlines
  • Producing high-quality correspondence, documents and bundles
  • Maintaining electronic and hard-copy filing systems
  • Handling calls, emails and client communications professionally
  • Assisting with drafting, proofreading and document preparation

About you

  • Previous experience in a legal secretary role (advantageous) - alternatively, in a PA/Secretarial role within a professional services environment
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Confident with MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) and digital dictation
  • Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills
  • Comfortable supporting multiple fee earners and meeting deadlines
  • Employment or immigration experience is helpful but not essential
