My client is a leading mid-market legal-500 ranked law firm with offices in London and the regions. The firm advises a broad range of UK and international clients and is known for delivering high-quality legal work within a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Solicitor (NQ–1 PQE) to join my clients growing Southampton team. The role offers exposure to high-quality work comparable to City firms, within a friendly and collegiate environment, and is well suited to an ambitious solicitor seeking rapid progression.
You will advise on a wide range of corporate matters including:
- Private company M&A, private equity transactions, MBOs and MBIs
- Joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements and constitutional documents
- Demergers, reorganisations and reconstructions
- Commercial lending, security, financing and refinancing
- Opportunity to be involved in AIM flotations, takeovers and public company work
The team acts for acquirers, private equity and VCT funds, founders, management teams and funders, and is involved in many of the region’s most prominent transactions. You will work collaboratively on larger transactions while having autonomy to lead on others.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- NQ–1 PQE with prior Corporate experience
- At least one completed seat in a Corporate Team
- Strong technical ability and confidence handling the full range of corporate processes
- 2:1 degree or higher preferred
This role would suit an ambitious solicitor relocating to the region, moving laterally from a national or large regional firm, or seeking exposure to larger transactions within a sizeable firm.
